This is my last painting on the island. Once more I wanted to capture Santa Barbara in the distance. I just got the scene roughed in when someone yelled, "The boat's coming." Time to pack away the paints. I had enough started so I could finish this painting at home. Actually all 13 studies were in various stages of completion so I took the following two weeks to finish all the paintings.
