Occasionally I paint potted plants instead of in a field just to practice the rounded pot and it's cast shadow. The multi lights in a house cast shadows in different directions but it still reads as a pot of flowers. The gold background provides a warn contrast as opposed to a cool contrast as on yesterday's painting.
